The Creative Lounge

When? 4 July 2014, 10am-4pm

Where? Media City, Salford

Theme: Engageable Cities

Places are limited so register now. Email us by 9 June 2014.

Our Creative Lounge workshop aims to create opportunities for you to team up with great designers, technologists, artists, creative companies and academics to think about spaces, places, connectivity, and the digital/physical interface.

The workshop will explore:

  • Engagable cities - what is the role of technology connecting people and places
  • How can we connect the future and the past, memory and narrative?
  • How do we tangibly, physically interact with digital realms?
  • What are the challenges for working in these spaces?

We are inviting small, medium and micro businesses, agencies, and not-for-profits from the creative sector who want to share and discover exciting, novel ideas, and collaborate to create compelling new experiences, products and services to attend our innovative Creative Lounge workshop on 4 July 2014.

We also welcome all UK academics from all across the Arts and Humanities, including those who have interests in the following areas: Architecture, Digital Humanities, Arts and Design, Heritage, History and others with an interest in the City and digital technology.

As smaller numbers make for more meaningful connections, space at the Creative Lounge will be limited and not everyone who gets in touch may to be able to attend.

Please contact us as soon as possible to register your interest!

Following this event, proposals will be considered, and up to two collaborative projects will be provided with the resources and funding to develop prototype products and services.
