Wild Man Game Bridges the Digital to Seoul

16th Mar 2015

The Wild Man Game has just been presented at a Serious Games' symposium and at the British Embassy in Seoul, Korea.

I am just back from a speedy tour of Seoul where the Wild Man Game formed my part of two talks on Serious Games.

The talks were part of a special invitation from Prof. William Latham | Goldsmiths and Dr. Brigitta Zics | Ravensbourne who have received British Embassy support to set up a knowledge exchange network in Serious Games & Gamification and facilitate a Symposium between Korea and UK researchers, industry experts and academics.

The visit spanned a week with an initial networking event between Seoul National University, Korea University, UCL and Goldsmiths that looked to create a common ground for future exchanges between UK- Korea and generate a platform for collaborative projects. Our colleagues hope that this event will be a starting point for long-standing exchanges between UK and Korea delegates with research interest on games, serious games and gamification.

Special thanks to the Nam June Paik centre for the opportunity to reflect on the life and art of Nam June Paik. I took this photo of one of my favourite pieces during my visit: “One Candle”.
